As the founder and designer of Lost Lorelei, sustainability has always been at the forefront of my mind. I believe it's crucial for brands to make sustainability a core mission within their business, not just as an afterthought or a marketing tactic, but as a genuine commitment to the planet and future generations.
At Lost Lorelei, we strongly believe that sustainability should be a core mission for every brand. We believe that every product we create today should have a positive impact on our future.
Our philosophy is centered on sustainability and reducing excess waste. We produce our collections in limited runs to meet demand, ensuring that we don't create excess inventory. We also opt for natural fabrics and dead-stock whenever possible, avoiding the use of plastic. We've also introduced a plastic free policy at our production Hub teaching our makers about the choices we can make when it comes to single use and giving them some of the basic items to get them going on their journey to plastic free.
We understand that we are not perfect, but we are always striving to improve together with our makers.
One of our sustainable practices is the use of reversible bamboo styles. Our reversible bamboo clothing line is not only eco-friendly but also versatile and functional. With two different designs in one garment, our customers get more value for their money while reducing their environmental footprint. The use of bamboo fabric is also sustainable as it is one of the fastest-growing and most renewable plants on earth.
Reversible clothing, is a timeless innovation that has stood the test of time, for those in search of a sustainable and versatile wardrobe. The practice of incorporating reversible designs is rooted in a desire to minimise waste, maximise functionality, and ultimately minimise your carbon footprint. These designs allow for the creation of multiple outfits from a single piece, ultimately reducing the need to purchase additional clothing items, and in turn, reducing the consumer’s carbon footprint. Additionally, reversible clothing often utilizes sustainable materials, such as bamboo or organic cotton, making them not only versatile but also environmentally friendly. By prioritizing the use of sustainable materials, reversible clothing provides a sense of longevity and practicality that serves both the consumer and the environment. Therefore, it is evident that reversible clothing is a wise investment for the eco-conscious consumer, providing both functionality and sustainability in a single garment.
So lets take a moment to thank those who opt for sustainable options when it comes to their wardrobe choices. By choosing sustainable fashion, you are making a conscious effort to reduce the negative impact the fashion industry has on the environment and society. Your support allows us to continue our mission of putting a spotlight on sustainable Filipino craftsmanship and enhancing the skills of our makers through unique designs and quality fabrics. We are proud to offer sustainable clothing options that are not only fashionable but also considerate of the world we live in. Thank you for being part of the movement towards a more sustainable future.
